One of Only 22 Coachbuilt V12 Speedsters Ever Created
The Aston Martin DBR22 is one of the rarest and most exclusive road cars ever produced by the British marque.
Created by Q by Aston Martin, the company’s bespoke personalization and coachbuilding division, the DBR22 was conceived as a celebration of Aston Martin’s rich motorsport heritage, paying tribute to the legendary DBR1 that claimed overall victory at the 1959 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Limited to just 22 individually commissioned examples worldwide, the DBR22 combines breathtaking V12 performance, advanced carbon fiber engineering, and handcrafted luxury in an open-cockpit speedster unlike anything else in Aston Martin’s modern history.
This virtually new example has covered only 70 kilometers and is presented in the factory Pebble Beach specification, finished in exclusive DBR22 Green with a Chestnut Tan and Onyx Black leather interior.
Created by Q by Aston Martin

The DBR22 was developed entirely by Q by Aston Martin, the bespoke division responsible for the brand’s most exclusive commissions.
Unlike Aston Martin’s regular production models, every DBR22 was individually configured for its owner, with virtually unlimited personalization possibilities.
Production was restricted to just 22 examples, immediately placing the model among Aston Martin’s rarest modern collector cars.
Inspired by the 1959 Le Mans Winner

The DBR22 draws direct inspiration from the legendary DBR1 race car.
The original DBR1 remains one of Aston Martin’s greatest competition cars, achieving overall victory at the 1959 24 Hours of Le Mans with Roy Salvadori and Carroll Shelby behind the wheel.
Design references include:
- Open Cockpit Speedster Layout
- Low Wraparound Bodywork
- Sculpted Front Grille
- Minimal Windscreen
- Driver-Focused Cockpit
The result is a modern interpretation of Aston Martin’s most iconic racing machine.
Twin-Turbocharged V12 Performance
Power comes from Aston Martin’s magnificent 5.2-liter twin-turbocharged V12.
Producing 715 horsepower and 753 Nm of torque, it sends power exclusively to the rear wheels through an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission.

Specifications include:
- 5.2-Liter Twin-Turbocharged V12
- 715 Horsepower
- 753 Nm Torque
- ZF Eight-Speed Automatic
- Rear-Wheel Drive
- 0–100 km/h in 3.5 Seconds
- Top Speed of 319 km/h
The drivetrain perfectly complements the raw character of the open speedster layout.
Advanced Carbon Fiber Construction

The DBR22 is one of Aston Martin’s most technically sophisticated creations.
The entire body is constructed from carbon fiber, including:
- Carbon Fiber Body Panels
- Carbon Fiber Front Grille
- Satin 2×2 Twill Carbon Exterior Package
- Satin Carbon Mirror Caps
- Satin Carbon Interior Package
Beyond weight reduction, the extensive use of carbon fiber allows the dramatic sculptural surfaces that define the DBR22’s appearance.
Innovative 3D-Printed Engineering
One of the DBR22’s most remarkable engineering achievements lies beneath the bodywork.
Aston Martin became one of the first manufacturers to utilize a 3D-printed aluminum rear subframe on a production vehicle.

The bonded aluminum construction increases chassis rigidity while reducing weight and demonstrates the advanced manufacturing techniques employed throughout the project.
Additional shear panels further improve torsional stiffness, ensuring the open-top structure retains exceptional dynamic capability.
Pebble Beach Specification
This example is configured in the highly desirable specification first presented by Aston Martin during Monterey Car Week.
Highlights include:
- DBR22 Green Exterior
- Pebble Beach Cerakote Graphics
- Satin Carbon Exterior Package
- Satin Black Diamond-Turned Center Lock Wheels
- Black Brake Calipers
- Cerakote Exhaust Finishers
The subtle Cerakote pinstriping across the grille, fenders, and rear diffuser adds an understated yet highly distinctive finishing touch.
Handcrafted Interior

Inside, the DBR22 combines traditional British craftsmanship with modern performance-focused materials.
Features include:
- Chestnut Tan & Onyx Black Leather
- Satin Carbon Interior Pack
- Carbon Fiber Sports Steering Wheel
- Conker Saddle Leather
- Matching Embroidery
- Satin Bright Jewellery Pack
- Black Premium Carpet
Every surface reflects the level of personalization expected from Q by Aston Martin.
Influencing Aston Martin’s Future
The DBR22 is more than a limited-production collector’s car.
Its front lighting signature introduced styling themes that would later influence the DB12, Vanquish, and Valhalla, making it an important milestone in Aston Martin’s design evolution.
It serves as both a tribute to the past and a preview of the brand’s future.
